Jamie MoyerAt the age of 49 Jamie Moyer becomes the oldest starting pitcher to make an opening day roster. The soft tossing Moyer started the second game of the season for the Colorado Rockies. Moyer’s 25 year career spanned 4 decades. He first appeared for the Chicago Cubs in 1986. During his career Moyer won 269 games, twice winning 20 for the Seattle Mariners at age 38 and 40. He played for 8 teams. By far his best years were the 11 he spent in Seattle.
