Andre Dawson

 

During a 16-inning 2-1 Cubs victory over the Reds at Wrigley, Andre Dawson is intentionally walked a Major League five times breaking the record four set in 1962 by Roger Maris and matched by Garry Templeton in 1985. Dawson finished the season with 27 homers, 100 rbi, a .310 batting average and 21 intentional walks, earning him an All-Star selection.
