Willie McCovey


39-year old Giants first baseman Willie McCovey becomes the first Major Leaguer in to hit two home runs in one inning twice in his career. His first two homer inning game was April 12, 1973. McCovey would collect 521 career home runs, tied with Frank Thomas and Ted Williams for 19th all-time. The 6-time All-Star, 1959 NL Rookie of the Year, and 1969 NL MVP was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1986.
