Craig Biggio


Houston Astros second baseman Craig Biggio collects his 3,000 career hit by going 5-5 in a victory over Colorado at Minute Maid Park. Biggio is the 27th player in history to accumulate 3,000 hits and the 9th player to do so with one team. In true Biggio style he was thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double. Craig Biggio is a 7-time All-Star, 4-time Gold Glove winner, 5-time Silver Slugger, and a member of the Hall of Fame, class of 2015.
