Max Scherzer


Detroit starter Max Scherzer gets his 13th win to bringing his season record to 13-0. Scherzer’s 13-0 is the best start by a pitcher since Roger Clemens started the 1986 season 14-0. He would finish the season with an AL best 21 wins and only 3 losses, 2.90 ERA, 2.74 FIP, 240 strikeouts in 214 1/3 innings pitched and a league best 0.97 WHIP. He made the AL All-Star team and won the AL Cy Young.
