    • David, I think you’re confusing two of Sutter’s seasons. His ’77 season was the 6.5 WAR (according to Baseball Reference), and his ’79 season was 4.9 WAR (again according to Baseball Reference). While Sutter did win the Cy Young in ’79 to me it came down to Sutter’s ’77 season and Marmol’s ’10 season. While Sutter had more control and fewer walks Marmol was nasty and struck out everyone. I’d have no problem swapping out Marmol for Sutter.
