Alex Rodriguez

Texas Rangers shortstop Alex Rodriguez hits the 40th of his eventual league leading 57 homers becoming the first infielder and sixth overall player to have five consecutive 40 homer seasons. A-Rod accomplishment puts him in the company of Babe Ruth (1926-1932), Ralph Kiner (1947-1951), Duke Snider (1953-1957), Ken Griffey, Jr (1996-2000), and Sammy Sosa (1998-2002). He would extend his streak to 6 years in 2003 when he goes yard 47 times.
