On This Day In Baseball History: August 23, 1998

Barry Bonds 2

San Francisco Giants left fielder Barry Bonds hits his 26th homer of the year which is also his 400th career dinger. With that homer he becomes the first, and still the only player, to have 400 career homers and 400 career stolen bases. Before his career is over he will also eclipse the 500 mark for both making him the only player with both 500 homers and stolen bases.
