Ken Griffey and Ken Griffey Jr

 

Seattle Mariners 40-year old veteran Ken Griffey and 20-year old rookie Ken Griffey, Jr become the first father and son to play in the same game. Both Griffey’s would score a run as the Mariners beat the Royals 5-2 in the Kingdome. The elder Griffey would play a total of 51 games as a Mariner before his career ends while the Junior would play in more than 1,600 games over 13 seasons in Seattle while hitting 417 homers.
