St. Louis Cardinals All-Star catcher Tim McCarver triples in the third inning of a Cardinals 7-4 victory over the Braves. It is McCarver’s 13th and final triple of his 1966 campaign, good enough to lead the NL in triples. McCarver is the first and only catcher to ever lead his respective league in triples. He is better known as a TV baseball analyst calling a record 24 Fall Classics.
