Cal Ripken


In the middle of the 5th inning at Camden Yards the game between the Orioles and the Angels becomes official extending Cal Ripken‘s consecutive games played streak to 2,131 passing Lou Gehrig. The streak started May 30, 1982. Ripken would extend the streak to 2,632, playing in every game from May 30, 1982 – September 20, 1998. This is believed by a lot of sports fans to be one record that will never be broken.
