Troy Tulowitzki

Colorado Rockies rookie shortstop Troy Tulowitzki hits the 20th homer of his rookie campaign setting a new National League record for home runs by a rookie shortstop. He passes Mr. Cub, Ernie Banks, who hit 19 in 1954. Despite finishing his rookie season with 104 runs, 24 homers, 99 rbi, .291 batting average, 3.8 defensive WAR and 31 (10th all-time) defensive runs saved would finish second in the NL Rookie of the Year voting behind Ryan Braun.
