Albert Pujols

St. Louis Cardinals utility man and eventual first baseman Albert Pujols  drives in three runs as the Cards beat the Brewers 8-2 at Busch Stadium. The three rbi give Pujols 120 on the year passing Wally Berger of the Boston Braves who held the record of 119 rbi by a NL rookie. Pujols would finish his inaugural campaign with 130 runs batted in. Pujols would collect the NL Rookie of the Year award along with a Silver Slugger and finish 4th in the NL MVP voting.
