Mickey Mantle


New York Yankee legend Mickey Mantle hits his 536th and final career home run. The three time AL MVP played his entire 18-year career for the New York Yankees. The Mick’s 1956 season was one of the greatest seasons in New York Yankee history. During his career he lead the AL in OPS six times (1952, 1955-1956, 1960, 1962, 1964), runs five times (1954, 1956-1958, 1960), walks five times (1955, 1957-1958, 1961-1962), slugging percentage four times (1955-1956, 1961-1962), homers four times (1955-1956, 1958, 1960), on-base percentage three times (1955, 1962, 1964), total bases three times (1956, 1958, 1960), batting average once (1956), RBI once (1956), and triples once (1955).
