Darryl Strawberry and Howard Johnson

 

New York Mets outfielder Darryl Strawberry swipes two bases give him 30 for the year to go along with his 30 plus homers Strawberry becomes the fourth player this season to join the 30-30 club joining Joe Carter, Eric Davis and teammate Howard Johnson. Strawberry and Johnson are the first teammates to have 30-30 seasons in the same year. Straw would finish 1987 with 39 homers and 36 steals. Johnson finished his ’87 campaign with 36 homers and 32 steals.
