Vladimir Guerrero

Baltimore Orioles designated hitter Vladimir Guerrero becomes the all-time leader in career hits among all players born in the Dominican Republic. Along the way Vlad passed Julio Franco, Manny Ramirez, Sammy Sosa, and Miguel Tejada. His record didn’t stand for long as he is now third on the list behind both Albert Pujols (#2) and Adrian Beltre (current leader).

  1. Yes, Vlad was awesome. Not just his ability, nor just his stats, nor his playing so well on bad knees; no, all the help he gave children, his natural accessibility, his team building and leadership. HoF in 2017.
