On This Day In Baseball History: October 6, 2010

Roy Halladay

Philadelphia Phillies ace Roy Halladay tosses the second no-hitter in postseason history as he shuts down the Reds 4-0. The only other no-hitter in postseason history is Don Larsen‘s 1956 perfect game against the Brooklyn Dodgers. 2010 was one of Halladay’s best seasons as he led the league in wins with 21, complete games and shutouts with 9 and 4, innings pitched with 250 2/3, and the highest K/BB ratio at 6.29. He was also awarded his second CY Young beating out fellow 20-game winner Adam Wainwright.
