On This Day In Baseball History: October 20, 1996

 

Atlanta Braves 19-year old outfielder Andruw Jones, with just 31 career regular season games under his belt, hits two homers in Game 1 of the 1996 World Series making him the fourth rookie in baseball history to homer twice in a World Series game. Jones joins Charlie Keller (1939), Tony Kubek (1957), and Willie McGee (1982). Jones hit .400 during the 1996 Fall Classic.
