On This Day In Baseball History: October 22, 2011

 

St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols who didn’t get a hit during the first two games of the Series joins Yankee legends Babe Ruth and Reggie Jackson as only the third player in history to hit three homers in one World Series game. To go along with his three home runs Pujols drove in six, scored four times, and collected five total hits.
