Buster Posey and Madison Bumgarner

 

San Francisco Giants battery of 21-year old pitcher Madison Bumgarner and 23-year old catcher Buster Posey become the first rookie battery to start a World Series games since 1947 when the Yankees duo of Spec Shea and Yogi Berra started the Fall Classic. Bumgarner became the fourth youngest pitcher to collect a World Series win as he allowed only three hits over eight inning while hit an eighth inning homer.
