On This Day In Baseball History: November 23, 2010

Josh Hamilton

Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton, despite missing 29 games in September, wins the AL MVP. Hamilton led the AL in batting (.359), slugging (.633), and OPS (1.044), to go along with his 32 homers and 100 rbi. He was starting to show the world why there was so much hype around him as the first pick in the 1999 draft but injuries always seemed to cut into his seasons.
